Has someone threatened to distribute your private pictures online if you don't provide money or favors? This is SEXTORTION and here's what to do:

1. Know this is not your fault and you are not alone.
2. Take control and stop responding immediately. Get help instead of paying money or otherwise complying with the blackmailer.
3. Talk with someone you trust. Text "THORN" to 741741 to confidentially speak with a trained counselor.
4. Save everything. Block the blackmailer, but do not delete your profile or messages.
5. Report sextortion to the platform where it happened.
6. Report sextortion to NCMEC's Cybertipline at report.cybertip.org
7. Change all of your passwords.
8. Remember that it will be okay, and there is hope to get to the other side. You are not alone. 

 

4 Steps of Trafficking

  2. Grooming:  Building trust and manipulating with false love.

  3. Courting:  Establishing an official relationship.

  4. Seasoning:  Process of breaking you down through physical, mental, and emotional means.
